Summary The mean recovery of biological activity of urinary pituitary gonadotrophin added to normal urine was 40.5 per cent as determined by the mouse uterus response. Investigation of some methodological variables, including the mode of storage and pH of urine, did not incriminate these as additional sources of error above those directly determined from the method of extraction and assay used.
