This contribution aims to present all the known or previously unknown Nabataean inscriptions incised on the rock or painted on movable objects which have been found inside the funerary chambers of tombs. There are thirty‐two of these from Petra, Hegra, Dht Rs and Dayr al‐Kahf. Among the twenty‐seven texts from Petra, twelve are unpublished. The others were found either by Milik and Starcky during their epigraphic survey, or by the author. The inscriptions are compared with the archaeological evidence in order to discuss the so‐called anonymous character of the Nabataean tombs of Petra.
