Infiltration is a major component of the hydrologic cycle for most watersheds. Therefore it is important to have a method that can provide infiltration estimates for soils within ungaged watersheds. Both the analysis of variance and the multivariate analysis were used to examine whether estimated Brooks‐Corey and Green‐Ampt parameters differ singularly or collectively across soil texture classes. The analysis indicated that the parameters for the two models examined varied collectively across soil texture classes. Mean parameter values and standard errors for soil textures are presented for possible use on ungaged watersheds.
