The asymmetric slotline is relatively new, and currently no theory exists in the literature for obtaining its guided‐wave parameters. In the present investigation we analyze the propagation of the fundamental mode on an asymmetric slotline. The problem is formulated in the spectral domain and solved rigorously using the Wiener‐Hopf technique. Numerical results are presented for the propagation constant and the characteristic impedance of the slotline.
