Electromagnetic scattering from a perfectly conducting strip with rough edges is studied using the electric field integral equation. The serrated edges are treated as a realization of a stochastic process and are given a statistical characterization. The average induced surface current density and average monostatic scattering cross section are studied as functions of the statistical parameters characterizing the strip. The results are compared with the case of a strip with a single randomly serrated edge.
