This paper is an extension of and correction to previous results in the diffraction of radio waves by a smooth rounded obstacle. Equations and curves are presented that are applicable to both vertical and horizontal polarization and a wide range of electromagnetic ground constants. The curves provide attenuation predictions in the transition region between knife‐edge and smooth earth diffraction theory.
