In this paper an exhaustive study of interaction of high‐frequency (ƒ = 2450 MHz) electromagnetic wave with a longitudinally magnetized guide plasma column, in a partially filled plasma waveguide, is carried out. The behavior of the plasma, confined to a linear machine with a uniform magnetic fieldB ― 0 , depending on the work pressure, the static magnetic field applied, the wave polarization, and the incident power level, is experimentally studied. The paper presents conclusive evidence of anomalous absorption of an intense right‐hand circularly polarized wave at high magnetic fields. The study was carried out with a continuous Argon plasma.
