The capability of the mesosphere‐stratosphere‐troposphere (MST) technique for measuring winds and wind variability in the mesosphere, stratosphere, and troposphere is demonstrated using recent results obtained from the MST radar at Poker Flat, Alaska. Mesospheric results include mean flow, tidal motions, and shorter‐term fluctuations. Stratospheric‐tropospheric results include, in addition, high‐frequency (≃15 m ) wavelike fluctuations observed in the vertical wind field.
