Observations of enhanced plasma lines by EISCAT during heating experiments

Some initial observations of heater‐induced plasma line enhancements as observed by EISCAT are described. The most striking differences of these results from those previously observed at Arecibo are in their much more pronounced overshoot at the time of the heater turn‐on and the way in which the higher‐order spectral features show a clear line structure.
