The radiation and reception characteristics of circular plate (disk) and mesh antennas for an electron plasma wave are investigated experimentally to verify the theoretical prediction given in the preceding paper. As a result, it is shown that the measured directional radiation and reception patterns, when the circular plate antenna is appropriately biased by a dc potential, agree fairly well with the theoretically predicted ones. It is also indicated that the measured radiation patterns and the radiated wave potential of the circular mesh agree with the theoretically predicted ones better than those for the circular plate.
