The two‐channel system includes a two‐terminal antenna with ancillary devices. A general treatment of polarization errors in such a system is given, including the transformation of error parameters and scattering coefficients with a change of polarization base. Calibration procedures are discussed and formulas developed for the calculation of polarization‐related quantities in the presence of errors. The effects of polarization errors in transmission and radar systems are outlined.
