Exact ray paths are calculated in a multiple quasi‐parabolic layer ionosphere. Ray fans, displayed by using minicomputers and microcomputers, aid in real time propagation assessment systems. Equations for valley layers are derived by using an inverted quasi‐parabolic layer.
