The problem of one or more infinite transverse slots in a parallel plate waveguide wall is considered. An integral equation is derived for the aperture electric field for the TM z case. The integral equation is solved by the method of moments. Steady state results are presented for the case where the exciting field is a TEM mode in the waveguide. Both transient and steady state results are presented for the case where the exciting field is a plane wave incident from outside the guide.
