Vertical gravity observations from the geographic south pole are analyzed in the semidiurnal tidal frequency band and show the presence of a sidereal semidiurnal spectral component. This component is not unexpected and probably does not provide evidence for the existence of gravitational waves of extraterrestrial origin.
