The last report on planetary geodesy in the United States was prepared by Kaula [1971] for the period 1967–1971. The purpose of this report is to review additional work for the period 1971–1975 and to present a corresponding bibliography as of November 1974. We restrict the discussion to the traditional subjects of geometrical and physical geodesy, with particular emphasis on the size and shape of the planets and on their masses and gravity fields.
