Essential features of the grain emanation and aggregation models are presented. The presence of thin layers containing Ra is shown to enhance the Rn emanation from the grains. A multiple α‐recoil mechanism is suggested to create a nonuniform Ra distribution. It is also shown that the rnesoporosity may increase Rn emanation and the macroporosity may contribute to Rn transport.
