We have performed auto and cross spectral analysis of the electron density and vector magnetic field fluctuations recorded aboard ISEE 1 and 2 in the magnetosheath close to the Earth's bow shock when in quasi‐perpendicular configuration. The analysis shows the characteristic signatures of mirror type modes downstream of the undershoot of the shock.
