On the current rate of formation of impact craters of varying sizes on the Earth and Moon

In Baldwin [1985] absolute ages were derived for 359 post‐Imbrium lunar craters. There is a gradual increase in frequency of crater formation in the last 3.2×10 9 y. From updated analyses of these ages and trends, the frequency of formation of craters of different sizes on the moon at the present rate was determined.
