Sub‐auroral F region irregularities have been studied with two HF coherent backscatter radars looking simultaneously at the same irregularity volume from two different locations. Using simple assumptions we have computed the two components of the velocity of the irregularities in a plane perpendicular to B . We present an example of relatively high westward velocity which might be attributed to a subauroral ion drift enhancement.
