To commemorate its 50th anniversary and the 100th anniversary of the birth of its founder, the James S. McDonnell Foundation is sponsoring an international competition for ten $1 million fellowships to support the work of “exceptional early‐career scientists and scholars.” The McDonnell Foundation was founded by the renowned aerospace pioneer who started what is now known as the McDonnell Douglas Corporation.
