As part of the Clinton Administration's budget request for fiscal year 1999, a number of science and environment accounts would receive substantial increases. This article focuses on the budgets of some federal agencies, including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Energy (DOE), and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). It continues the budget survey begun in last week's issue of Eos .
