Scientists at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) in Socorro, N. Mex., have, for the first time, produced images using a radio telescope antenna in space. The images were made using a new Japanese HALCA satellite in conjunction with the National Science Foundation's Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA) and Very Large Array (VLA) groundbased telescopes.
