Mary Anne Carroll recently began work as editor of JGR—Atmospheres , collaborating with fellow editor Roni Avissar, for a term which began January 1, 1997, and will extend to December 31, 2000. This editorship will complement her present roles as associate professor of the Department of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences and the Department of Chemistry at the University of Michigan; as director of the University of Michigan Atmospheric Chemistry Laboratory: Instrument Development and Field Measurements; and as director of the Program for Research on Oxidants: Photochemistry, Emissions, and Transport (PROPHET) at the University of Michigan Biological Station. Carroll also serves as a member of the editorial advisory board of Atmospheric Environment .
