Georadar data recorded in a crystalline gneiss of southern Switzerland exhibit two effects that are related to anistropic metamorphic fabric. In the first, signal coherence appears to be better for waves propagating parallel to the direction of foliation and, in the second, rms velocities of waves propagating along the foliation are higher than for waves propagating at a high angle to foliation.
