The geometry and the magnetic field of the magnetotail neutral sheet at −4R E < X < −21R E are studied with ISEE‐2 magnetometer data. Neutral sheet crossings are determined using a local coordinate system. We show the position of the neutral sheet after the effect of tilt angle is removed, and construct a smooth model to fit it.
