Ozone profiles and column content have been measured routinely since March 1991 at a new ozone monitoring station located in northern Italy at San Pietro Capofiume (44°39′N, 11°37′E). We present preliminary results of one year of observations. As one measure of the reliability of results obtained, total ozone amounts derived from the ozonesonde profiles are compared with total ozone derived from Dobson spectrophotometer and Total Ozone Mapping Spectrophotometer (TOMS) satellite ozone observations.
