Whilst most propagation studies for line‐of‐sight links in the millimeter‐wave range have in the past concentrated on point‐to‐point performance prediction, this study is specifically directed to point‐to‐multipoint aspects, with a special interest in the possibility of using intelligent resource sharing techniques at the central node. Dual‐polarization radar data, covering a 2‐year period, are used to make predictions of attenuation and interference in the 20 to 50 GHz range for 1 to 20‐km radius networks employing either adaptive gain, adaptive time division multiple access, or both techniques combined.
