Depletions in winter total ozone values over southern England

The time series of total ozone measured over Southern England showed anomalously low monthly mean values in the winter of 1992/93. It is shown that the causes for these low values are unlikely to be of meteorological origin, but are possibly related to the volcanic eruption of Pinatubo in 1992.
