On the relative intercalibration of solar wind instruments on IMP‐8 and ISEE‐3

Simultaneous measurements of density on IMP‐8 and ISEE‐3 are intercompared as a function of velocity and ion temperature. Systematic differences are found of a magnitude sufficiently large to be important in studies of the solar wind interaction with the magnetosphere.
