Tristatic observations of photoelectron‐enhanced plasma‐lines with the EISCAT UHF incoherent scatter radar are presented. It is shown that electron temperatures can be derived from these measurements with a time resolution of the order of a minute and a statistical accuracy of 50–100 K.
