Equilibrium concentrations of point defects in Fe‐bearing MgSiO 3 perovskite are calculated using a quantitative defect chemistry approach. Dependences of defect concentrations on temperature, oxygen activity, and pressure are illustrated. These calculations demonstrate how differences in the control of experimental conditions can lead to significant differences in point defect‐controlled properties.
