The idea of locally quasi‐static averaging fields inside a slab is applied to thin anisotropic layers. This approach leads to approximate relations between tangential fields on opposite sides of the slab. Then, by considering tangential electric and magnetic fields as vector voltages and currents, an analogous vector circuit is introduced for anisotropic slabs. A comparison between exact and approximate results is given, and some applications are discussed.
