The AGU book imprint, geopress , showcased its expanded activity during events in San Francisco this year. The annual meeting of the AGU Books Board was well attended, underscoring the geopress commitment to transforming the future of its scientific publishing, and the board proposed a number of ideas to enhance AGU's role in informing society about the Earth and space sciences. This year, responding to member feedback, geopress took a new approach to its information sessions and held daily sessions instead of one lunchtime presentation. The result was that more than 3 times as many potential authors and editors explored the opportunity to achieve AGU's goal of informing society about the excitement of Earth and space sciences.
