The Research Station of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, hosted its fourth international symposium in June to celebrate both the thirtieth anniversary of the station and the tenth anniversary of the International Research Center‐Geodynamic Proving Ground (IGRC). The IGRC, whose base institution is the research station, was established with support from the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Kyrgyzstan Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, and the U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF). About 200 scientists from seven countries attended the symposium, including approximately 40 students and young scientists.
