I note with interest the additional information by Feldstein and Yevlashin [this issue] on Russian contributions in upper atmospheric physics during the International Geophysical Year (IGY). Many readers may welcome this information because Russian scientific literature often is difficult for scientists who do not read Russian, or is not available.
