In the 24 July 2007 issue (Eos, 88 (30), 2007), the name of the nuclear power plant was incorrectly printed as "Kariha" in the news item titled "Major Earthquake Strikes Japan." The facility is actually called the Kashiwazaki‐Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant. Eos regrets this error.
