The impulse response from an infinitesimal electric dipole in a conducting medium is given in full. Behind the impulsive wave front, we split the electromagnetic field into a nonpropagating discharging static dipole field and call the remainder the wake. Large t asymptotic expansions of the field components of the wake to all orders at all distances are presented.
