Legislation to increase funding for the National Science Foundation (NSF) by 15% for each fiscal year, from 2003 through 2005, was approved by a U.S. House of Representatives Science subcommittee on 8 May. Resolution (HR) 4664, the “Investing in America's Future Act,” would increase agency funding from $4.78 billion for fiscal year 2002 to $7.29 billion for fiscal year 2005.
