The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has been collecting data about the nation's water for more than a century. Now, the survey's new National Water Information System, or NWISWeb, provides online users—including scientists, water managers, emergency managers, and recreational water users—with access to hundreds of millions of pieces of archival and real‐time data.
