Medicinal plants are the part and parcel of human society to combat against different diseases\udfrom the dawn of human civilization. According to World Health Organization, approximately\ud80% population of the developing countries are facing difficulties to afford synthetic drugs and\udare relying on traditional medicines mainly of plant origin in order to maintain their primary\udhealth care needs. Plants are being used in various disorders e.g., gastrointestinal disorders,\udgenitourinary problems, hepatobilliary discomforts and psychological and respiratory\udproblems through time immemorial and people in western countries are now reverting back\udtowards herbal medicines because of their extensive biological and medicinal activities,\udhigher safety and lesser costs. Many plants are being traditionally used in the treatment of\udfever and their antipyretic activities have been confirmed scientifically. The current review\udclearly demonstrates the importance of medicinal plants in the treatment of fever. Furthermore,\udthis review can help the scientists and researchers to find some new antipyretic agents from\udtraditional medicinal plants
