This article provides an overview of different neurointerventional procedures by reviewing important papers relevant to neurovascular disease and the latest concept of endovascular treatment. The focus was on studies that dealt with cerebral aneurysm, arteriovenous malformation, direct carotidcavernous fistula, dural arteriovenous fistula, intracranial atherosclerosis, and acute symptomatic intracranial arterial occlusion. Studies on extracranial atherosclerosis and other nonvascular part were excluded. Interventional neuroradiology is a well-developed subspecialty that mainly treats neurovascular disease in a less invasive way. Advances in new technology and knowledge will make it an important method to treat different disorders in future
