¿Cómo la teoría impide ver la realidad? comentarios al libro de Santiago Levy: Buenas intenciones, malos resultados

ResumenEl profesor Rogelio Huerta nos señala que en el texto existen graves inconsistencias, pues se pretende mostrar que hay verdades eternas e inmutables y con ello se corre el riesgo de alejarse de la verdad, pues en las ciencias, la comprobación de sus afirmaciones tiene que hacerse para tener credibilidad. Pensar o suponer que existen verdades absolutas es cegarse ante una realidad en permanente cambio. Huerta muestra que la investigación de Santiago Levy comete graves fallas, pues pretende demostrar que los programas sociales que se han aplicado en México tienen efectos negativos sobre la productividad y sobre el crecimiento económico del país. To think or assume that there are absolute truths is to get blind faced with a constantly changing reality. Huerta’s research shows that Santiago Levy makes serious flaws, and he aims to demonstrate that the social programs which have been implemented in Mexico have negative effects on the productivity and economic growth of the country. In regard to this point, Huerta shows that the book is illustrative of how seemingly scientific conclusions can be gotten without move an inch from the comfortable place that provides the theory or the idealization of reality through several comments and clarifications of the discussed text
