Surgeons consider G‐U and GYN as two distinct surgical specialties. The relationship of these anatomic structures however often makes it difficult to separate these fields into two distinct types of literature. The Editorial Committee has compiled the following supplement to the books annotated in the original Basic Books for the Operating Room, published in the July‐August 1966, Oct. 1967, and July 1968 issues of AORN Journal. The list includes references for both genito‐urinary (urologic) and gynecologic surgery. All books may be obtained from the publishers and cannot be ordered through AORN Journal.
