Individuals who use the assimilator learning style prefer to use abstract conceptualization and reflective observation in learning situations. They are logical thinkers who evaluate and carefully observe situations and concepts rationally before making judgments. The authors constructed theoretical models that perioperative nurses who are assimilators could follow in learning important concepts, such as recommended practices. AORN J 61 (Jan 1995) 189–195.
