DECODE models and brief cognitive assessments in the development data. The DECODE models were consistently more accurate than the results of any of the brief cognitive assessments alone (difference in AUC all p<.001). Table 1 summarises the promising diagnostic accuracy statistics in the development and validation data. Conclusions: DECODE models are useful in a variety of settings and consistently outperform conventional brief cognitive assessments. Implementation of DECODE prediction models in clinical practice has the potential to help improve dementia diagnostic rates whilst reducing unnecessary specialist assessments.
