The resulting diagnostic accuracies were then compared with those from the originally proposed MoCA cut-off score. Results: In both analyses, a MoCA score of 23/24 was the cut-off with the highest diagnostic accuracy. Compared to the original cut-off, this empirically derived cut-off had higher specificity but lower sensitivity. Relevant findings of our study are provided in the Table. Conclusions: We have validated the German version of the MoCA in a sample of patients with mild and major NCD. A cut-off score of 23/24 points was identified as optimal based on two different methods. This finding is in line with the optimal cut-off scores proposed in other validation studies.
