more crucial elements for effective VATmay include optimized use of art creativity, art education, reminiscence, art processing, art sharing/evaluation, and facilitated socialization. (Table 1). Conclusions: This review identified the positive effects of VAT on cognitive and psychological outcomes of older adults with normal/ deranged cognitive function and provided insights on the more crucial intervention components. Research with more rigorous study designs are needed to examine its empirical effects in the population with sub-optimal cognitive function.
