website needed to provide. Results:Leading Universities provided high levels of support for its students, however this same level of support and networking opportunities were not always available in smaller universities, particularly those which are newly developing PhD studentships. There are over 75 regularly used website and information sources, however no single source for all types of information and support e.g. funding, jobs, events and few opportunities to network, and non to network beyond your own area of research. Early Career Researchers asked for a ‘one-stop-shop’ online community where they could find the information they needed, access tools and support, network and see better use of new channels such as podcasts. Conclusions:There was an unmet need for a cross discipline, single online community for all Early Career Dementia Researchers. Responding this requirement the NIHR has further developed the project and created ‘Dementia Researcher’ a new online community with innovative new tools and support including ‘Ask and Expert’ to create connections between ECRs and experienced researchers, a peer driven podcast series, discipline specific community discussion groups and ways to find collaborators and provide guidance for overseas students. The service should continue to be developed and will lead outreach programmes beyond the U.K.
