the walk. Same data frames were used to for both models. Results:We were able to resolve 2, 3 and 4 people walking together on the carpet at any given time with an average accuracy of 100%. Our algorithms do not depend on the spatial location or dimensions of the sensors on the floor, we can count and track people on any sensors distribution. Conclusions: Our system is showing a good fit for assistive living. In the home it can detect falls with high accuracy and estimate important gait parameter In an institution the smart carpet can be used to monitor exits and to warn for possible elopement.
