recorded. The completion rate of weekly health surveys for participants with AD (n1⁄45) was 75% and MCI (n1⁄46) is 84%. Sixty percent (3/5) of the participants with AD require assistance from a caregiver with completion of the weekly survey, compared to none of the MCI participants. Overall average adherence with taking a daily weight was 56% (SD 17%), with higher rates of adherence in participants with MCI (76%) compared to participants with AD (46%). Five participants are using an electronic pillbox for ADrelated medications with individual adherence varying between participants (97%, 94% 94%, 37% in 4 participants with AD and 64% in one participant with MCI). Conclusions: A home based pervasive sensing and computing system is able to detect adherence to completion of frequent or daily activities providing ecologically valid measures related to cognitive function (incorporating prospective memory). With this approach, these outcomes can be measured unobtrusively to longitudinally follow changes in cognition in individuals with cognitive impairment.
